My acting coach is always encouraging me not to be too rigid in my pursuit of the perfect career and to let go of any ideas relating to “what my career should look like.” Definitely if you would have told me when I was at Tisch having just come out of a performing arts high school that in ten years I would have a fashion blog and be doing so much writing I would have said first “What’s a fashion blog?” and then “No way Jose! I’m an actor! Basta. End of story.”
But the truth is that when I got out of school and was pursuing my art full time I still had mucho free time and really wanted and needed an outlet for my creativity that I was in control of.
I’m glad I didn’t resist the impulse to start this site and I hope you don’t resist anything creatively that tugs on your heart strings. Let’s not lock ourselves down, let’s appreciate our versatility. I’ll be appreciating mine in this dress and pumped up kicks combo. I hereby nominate these sneakers as one of the most versatile pieces I’ve added to my wardrobe this Summer. Seriously can’t stop wearing them.
