( Robert Rodriguez Collection)
My favorite thing about writing a style blog is being introduced to new designers and having the opportunity to get to know them, see their workspaces, learn a bit about their creative process and of course, wear their beautiful creations! I know I don’t blog nearly enough but I think it’s because I am way more interested in the artistry of designers than I am in taking pictures of myself. Ha!
That’s why I was super excited to be invited to visit the Robert Rodriguez showroom this month and view his Spring collection. Although I wasn’t familiar with the line I was pleasantly surprised with how well it fit my personal aesthetic; feminine and classic but with playful/edgy details ( like a peek-a-boo cutout on the back of a tweed dress)

( My Favorites)
These were my favorites pieces from the line. I’d wear the striped dress on a romantic getaway to Capri, Italy and the mustard colored skirt in Honolulu! The metallic sweater would be great with boyfriend jeans and loafers.

Buttoned high.

If you read this blog regularly then you know that I have a special place in my heart for local designers who manufacture in L.A.
Robert not only makes his clothes here, he oversaw the creation of this beautiful workspace/ showroom in downtown L.A.
It’s light drenched and airy but with grounding elements like concrete columns which serve to divide the showroom from sewing/design areas and office space.

This jacket would be a great investment. I’d pair it for Spring with a vintage dress or a t-shirt, cut-offs and sandals.

Gotta leave it on this one again – gorgeous white, tiered skirt.
Thanks to Lindsay and Natalie for showing us around and for the delicious juices.
xxoo,
