Amelia Alvarez is an award winning writer and actress who is expert at turning her real-life into compelling content.
Amelia attended the Baltimore School For The Arts before graduating from NYU’s prestigious Tisch School Of The Arts with a BFA in theater. She quickly landed a role off-broadway in MCC’s award winning production of “The Distance From Here” by Neil Labute. Additional roles in theater, film and t.v. followed but as an ethnically ambiguous actor, Amelia was dismayed by the dearth of roles available to her, so she started writing her own.
Her first feature “The 13th Step” was a finalist in the Cynosure Screenwriting Awards Female Protagonist Category.
In 2018 Amelia wrote, produced and starred in the original web series “There’s A Special Place In Hell For Fashion Bloggers” based on her real life experiences as a fashion blogger in L.A.
Amelia’s blog “Clotheshorse L.A.” was named one of 20 style blogs to bookmark now by Lucky Magazine. She was an ambassador for Clare V’s eponymous L.A. handbag brand and did sponsored posts with True Botanicals, Ugg Australia, Express and more; she has also appeared in more than 50 national commercials.
She is repped by Atlas Artists and AKA Talent.
