When I picked up these lamps at a used furniture shop in Brooklyn a few years ago I thought it would be a great idea to stencil their base with a heart and cross bone design. Fast forward five years and I was not loving that idea quite as much. I still liked the lamps shape so I decided to give them a little face lift, now they are feeling much more refined. How to Paint a Ceramic Lamp
1) Remove shade and bulb
2) Cover cord and lamp socket with painters tape
3) Apply two coats of Kilz primer and let dry
4) Apply two coats of spray paint and let dry.
