A few weeks ago I watched this video and it inspired me to take a deliberate break from technology and give my team the same gift so that we can stir up our creativity before the Fall. Where better to regenerate brain cells than an east coast beach town in August? Today Mark and I are headed to Cape Cod to meet up with my dad for a family holiday.

I’ve always wanted to embrace the European mindset that August is for holiday-ing. When I lived in Paris, I was blown away by the French lifestyle and their ability to let responsibilities go and just chill out. Paris is truly a place where people sit in cafes, write in notebooks, sip coffee for hours, and do as they please. I found it to be infectious. The thing about shutting down is that you have to let go of “FOMO”, but my instinct says that FOMO isn’t such a great thing anyway since it’s an expression that starts with the word “fear”.

I’m still going to instagram because what’s a vacation without a few snaps, but this will be my last post until next Monday. I am, however, super excited about Fall Fashion! Before this heat wave hit Los Angeles, I had a chance to try out some looks at the Ted Baker A/W preview. This outfit was one of my favs.
