A good rule of thumb to follow during the holidays is to ask for needs first and wants second. Here’s what me and my little elf, Mr.Sidney Champion (featured above) are needing this year.

New running shoes in basic black so that I can look grown and sexy when I’m working out or running to catch a flight.

New nude bras, say that five times fast. You know, the really un-sexy kind that look great under t-shirts? I like to call them audition bras because I pretty much exclusively wear them to auditions. These are my favorite nude bras. 

You may think a Diptyque Candle wouldn’t fall under needs but I can’t resist lighting them all over the house this time of year. Sidney and I also love lighting incense during the winter months.

It’s time mama had a grown-up bar cart and all the proper accoutrements. I love this one and it’s on sale at One King’s Lane for only $319! I also want this Mason Jar Shaker cocktail kit for bringing Vodka Thyme Spritzers to a friend’s house.

The Alvarez family loves to crash and 2014 will surely bring more visitors our way. I say bring it on! We really need a sleeper sofa though to accommodate more guests.
Whoever wants to buy it for me can be the first to sleep on it!
