Every Fall I like to invest in a few key pieces to update my wardrobe. Last week when temps dropped in Los Angeles I decided to stop by Nicole Miller on Sunset Boulevard and do a little shopping.

I walked out with the perfect black blouse, a floral neoprene cocktail dress and this Herringbone Tweed Car Coat. If you follow me on Instagram then you know there was some debate over which coat I was going to take home with me. I fell pretty hard for this rabbit-fur collared black number (I’m exactly one part glamour queen and one part hipster)and if I still lived in NYC I would have made it mine but one shopping rule I swear by is to buy for my real life. As beautiful as it was, it was far too heavy for day to day life in lala and it would have made me cry to leave it in the closet. I know I made the right choice because in classic Clotheshorse fashion I wore my oversized tweed everywhere this weekend. I’m in love! A few new pieces can make you feel like a new woman.
Long Live Fall!
