I just got back from a fantastic weekend in the desert and not only am I brown as a coconut but I feel great. For me it is so important to get away from everyday life every once in awhile. Honestly, after this weekend, I’m thinking of switching my life goals around and primarily focusing on swimming in pools. Obviously I’m kidding, if that was my only focus in life I would probably be climbing the walls by day three. I’m about to start rehearsals for a new play in Los Angeles and I am excited to get back to my first love, the theater or the theatre if you’re fancy.

Speaking of getting away from everyday life I cut eight inches off my hair on Thursday. I had been thinking about doing it for awhile and after reading this article I decided to take the plunge. I’m historically a long hair girl but it’s boring to be the same day in and day out. Taking a break from yourself and your “ideas” about who you are can be really refreshing. I also starting boxing recently and I’m obsessed with it! Another thing I never saw myself trying, I’m a yoga girl. Phooey! Who cares! Be someone else for a little while. It’s fun! You know what else is fun? These Wooster sunnies from Elizabeth and James (also available in black). Loving the round shape and the gold detail. They feel Gatsbyesque. Cheers to a great week. |
